And the horse you rode in on.

I am dying to harvest this and make a bloody mary with my own homegrown horseradish freshly grated. It is a long time till the first frost, but everyone needs a goal in life.

The bloody mary is my favorite drink, I am planning a dinner party where all the guests will bring their favorite ingredients and we will taste test them all.

My personal recipe:

1/3 glass Ketel One Citroen Vodka

Dry ingredients (should be enough to cover the surface of the vodka in an even dusting):

  • Garlic powder
  • Celery seed
  • Cayenne powder
  • Homemade roasted pepper powder
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Wet ingredients about 1 1/2 teaspoons of each:

  • Soy
  • Worcestershire
  • A-1
  • Tabasco
  • Habanero Tabasco
  • Kosher horseradish

Additional ingredients:

  • 5 homemade olives
  • Finish filling the glass with Spicy Hot V-8
  • Stir with Stalk of Celery and leave in glass as a garnish.

What is amazing is that I can tell if I left anything out when I taste it.

Simple is usually better, but in this case the witches brew comes together. I am salivating just thinking about it.
